Tues 8th March 2011: AstraZeneca Demo

BARC activists returned to AstraZeneca to send the staff home for the day with a reminder about what goes on inside HLS and AstraZeneca labs around the world. Our demos are clearly getting to the workers as many of them had their radios turned up full to drown out the megaphone telling them what goes on behind the closed doors of the labs. Others drove by at high speed rather than looking at our pictures, and one made rather rude hand gestures at us! We hear AZ are laying lots of staff off, wonder who will be next! Maybe the folks working at the Hallen site can find ethical jobs rather than living their lives off the blood of helpless animals, suffering excruciatingly painful and pointless deaths in their laboratories.
