It was an early start for BARC members as we met up to travel out to Avonmouth to be ready to 'welcome' the workers into AstraZeneca as they arrived for the day. Staff were greeted with graphic images depicting the truth about animal testing, something they know full well the company and their own pay packets profit from.
The police were lying in wait for us before we arrived, someone is clearly worried enough about the demos to keep an eye on us! The cold soon got the better of them though and they left after taking a few photos and asking their old favourites 'So where are you from?/How long are you planning to be here today' (yawn!) We will continue to protest outside places involved in this despicable industry until they see the errors of their ways. See you next time, AstraZeneca! |
